I currently produce web designs in two ways, writing HTML through the use of Notepad, and use of Microsoft FrontPage (though I confess I prefer writing HTML in Notepad).
DID prefer writing HTML in Notepad, now I confess to becoming somewhat lazy, using FrontPage for the speed of creating/editing a web page/site (even though its now obsolete it still produces code). If I can't get FrontPage to do what I want then I revert to HTML.
Originally I taught the use of HTML, I then changed to teaching using FrontPage (the centre manager's choice, not mine). Now unfortunately (thanks to the likes of such as Facebook and Twitter?) less people are interested in web design and we have abandoned teaching web design :(
Although I do not currently undertake professional/commercial web design I am always willing to listen to new ideas. Below I provide a quick drop-down menu access to all the web designs I currently have on the Internet for interest.
Page Tutor - added direct using HTML
Just recently come across this - http://rendur.com - doesn't produce the html for you but allows you to write a web page complete with CSS and JavaScript (you have to know the html) and instantaneously show you the result without the tedious saving and previewing in a browser, converting what you have written into web standard, which you can then (once you are happy with the product) copy and paste into such as Notepad to save as an actual web page etc. - could save a bit of time.
